Applied Linguistics Adjunct Position - 2024/2025 Academic Year Position Announcement Position Details: Proposed Start Date 09/16/2024; Position Number D97747; Representation AP - AFT, Local 3571. The Department of Applied Linguistics offers a BA in Applied Linguistics, a post-baccalaureate Certificate in TESL, and an MA in TESOL. It has 10 faculty and about 260 students. Position Summary The department seeks part-time Adjunct Instructors to teach lower and upper-division undergraduate courses and Master’s level courses during the academic year. Courses are offered in-person, online, and hybrid formats. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree. Some experience teaching linguistics courses. Preferred Qualifications PhD in applied linguistics, linguistics, or related field. 2-3 years teaching experience in linguistics, applied linguistics, or language teaching education.
