Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Project production using ACAD/ Revit.
2. Strong knowledge of building codes in NJ and NY. Confident in liaising with building inspectors, planning departments, consultants and contractors
3. Prepare and issue Design Development and Construction Drawing Sets. Requires a strong understanding of documenting design intent for construction and knowledge of multiple common construction types, practices and materials specific to residential architecture.
4. Coordinate drawings with architectural, engineering, structural, MEP and design team.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Assist with construction administration, RFI responses and submittal reviews.
7. Establish and meticulously maintain project schedules, finish and material schedules and other project documentation.
Qualifications
1. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working for a high-end residential architecture design firm.
2. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
3. Knowledge of Rhino, Sketchup & Other 3D software a plus.
4. Detail oriented and highly organized. Must have strong presentation skills.
5. Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage all aspects of a project.
6. Strong desire to contribute and collaborate with the design team.
7. Associate / bachelor’s degree in architecture.
