Description : As a Cardiology Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our cardiology team. Your responsibilities will span both administrative and clinical duties, showcasing your versatility in contributing to a seamless patient experience within the cardiovascular department.As a Cardiology Medical Assistant at Insight Hospital, your role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of administrative efficiency and clinical excellence within our cardiology department. Duties and Responsibilities:

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage and schedule appointments for new visits, procedures and follow-up visits.
  • Maintain accurate and organized medical records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with billing and coding tasks, providing essential information for insurance purposes.
  • Answer phone calls and coordinate with physician to answer patient's questions over the phone.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide support in coordinating follow-up appointments and communicating test results to patients.
Clinical Duties:
  • Take and record vital signs, ensuring comprehensive patient assessment.
  • Gather and document patient medical histories, facilitating informed decision-making by the healthcare team.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist during diagnostic procedures under physician guidance.
  • Stay updated on advancements in cardiology procedures and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in medical assisting or health care related field.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks, including scheduling, medical record maintenance, billing, and coding.
  • Hands-on experience in clinical duties such as taking vital signs and administering medications.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems.
  • BLS and ACLS certified.
  • Health, vision & dental benefits - eligible at 30 days, following the 1st of the following month
