Salary:
Position Summary:Under the direction of the Vice President of Operations, theChiefInspectoris responsible for managing all quality assurance, inspection, and training functions across Crucial MRO operations. This key leadership role ensures compliance with all applicable FAA regulations, company manuals, customer requirements, and industry standards.In the event of a temporary absence, theChiefInspector's responsibilities will be assumed by the President / Accountable Manager. TheChiefInspectormay also hold dual personnel duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all inspection department operations and ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations.
• Develop and maintain inspection standards, methods, and procedures.
• Act as FAA liaison for inspections under Part 145.223.
• Manage Crucial MROs Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program in accordance with 49 CFR Part 40 and 14 CFR Part 120.
• Administer training programs in compliance with FARs, OEM recommendations, and internal training manuals.
• Maintain and revise the Repair Station and Quality Control Manual (RS/QCM).
• Manage employee rosters, stamp issuance and control, training records, and authorization tracking.
• Conduct internal and vendor audits and ensure vendor compliance.
• Ensure all PMTE is calibrated, and Shelf-Life programs are followed.
• Review and approve inspection records, work orders, FAA Form 337s, and return-to-service documentation.
• Ensure technical data, including service bulletins and airworthiness directives, is current and properly used.
• Maintain control of rejected and unserviceable components.
• Submit reports of defects or unairworthy conditions per FAR 145.221.
• Ensure execution of inspections (preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final).
• Maintain Maintenance Turnover Logs and work order tracking for traceability and compliance.
• Hold return-to-service authority for air carrier articles under Parts 121, 125, and 135.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate, held for at least six (6) years.
• At least six (6) yearsof aircraft maintenance experience on large aircraft(10+ passenger seats), with:
  • Three (3) years in a management roleor higher, and
  • Three (3) years as a maintenanceinspector.
• In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, including FAR Parts 65, 91, 121, 135, and 145.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Familiarity with FAA Form 337, EASA Supplements, and technical documentation requirements.

Note: The President may issue written exemptions for experience requirements, provided compliance with Parts 65.83 and 145.153 is met.
Preferred Skills & Experience:

• PreviousChiefInspectoror Quality Manager role at Part 145 Repair Station.
• Experience conducting internal/external audits and managing CAP (Corrective Action Programs).
• Proficiency in aviation inspection software and data management systems.
