Overview Crime Analyst I role at California Department of Justice. The Crime Analyst I provides program support to the staff at the laboratory to ensure that samples are properly delivered, updates information into appropriate data systems, maintains the filing system, and writes reports to document the activities of the MPDP. The Crime Analyst I also works with the MUPS Program to ensure that all their methods of identification are exhausted prior to DNA analysis being requested.
