The primary purpose of this position is to assist the line department in maintaining and troubleshooting the cooperatives distribution system.

Nodak Electric Cooperative, Inc. is a not-for-profit electric distribution utility dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and affordable power to over 15,000 member-owners in northeastern North Dakota. Headquartered in Grand Forks, Nodak serves all or parts of 13 counties in an 8,280 square-mile area, including many of the regions homes, farms, and businesses.

Education/Experience:
Must have completed an accredited Journeyman Lineman Program which meets the approval of Nodak Electric Cooperative. Must have a North Dakota class A commercial driver license or the ability to obtain one.

Abilities/Skills:
Basic knowledge of an overhead and underground distribution system. Applicant must be able to climb poles and terminate URD cable.

This is a full-time, permanent position with an excellent benefit package. This position is an hourly paid position with a 40-hour work week with some possible overtime and infrequent overnight travel when necessary. This position requires work to be performed outside of the office.
