You'll work alongside experienced surveyors and engineers, using GPS, total stations, and other equipment to support boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is looking to grow their technical expertise in modern surveying methods. If you're looking for more than just a job-if you want a meaningful role in a dynamic team-this is the place for you.Key Responsibilities Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction staking surveys using GPS, total stations, and data collectors Accurately collect and record field data in accordance with project requirements Collaborate with the Survey Crew Chief, project teams, and contractors to ensure precise data collection and staking Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot field equipment as needed Read and interpret survey notes, plans, and maps to guide fieldwork Ensure all field activities follow company standards, OSHA safety procedures, and applicable regulations Travel to job sites daily; work in a variety of field conditions and weather environmentsWhat You Bring High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, or a related field preferred Minimum 2 years of field surveying experience preferred Experience operating GPS units, total stations, and data collectors Familiarity with Trimble equipment is a plus Strong understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and instruments Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, bend, twist, and perform repetitive tasks Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to project sites Understanding of OSHA safety standards and Illinois labor laws Commitment to professional integrity and non-discrimination policiesWhy Work with Us in the FieldOpportunity to Grow On-the-job training & career development paths Supportive team environment with experienced mentors Opportunities to move up and build a long-term careerStrong Team Culture Team events, book club, and all-company gatherings Inclusive workplace where everyone's voice counts Company match for donations to causes you care aboutRewarding Compensation Compensation: $25-30/hourly rate The hourly range provided is a general guideline. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and overall alignment with the role and company needs.
