Job Title: Receptionist (Bi-Lingual Spanish Required)

Location: Atlantic City, NJ 08401

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (32 hours/week)

Assignment Duration: September 29, 2025 – March 28, 2026

Job Summary

The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and callers at the Medical Center. This role requires delivering exceptional customer service both in-person and over the phone, scheduling patient appointments, assisting with forms, and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments. The Receptionist also manages visitor access in compliance with Medical Center policies and provides administrative support to ensure smooth front desk operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and receive all visitors/patients approaching the Reception Area with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Answer questions regarding Medical Center services, locations, and how services can be accessed.
  • Provide patient information as permitted and manage the Visitor Pass policy.
  • Direct patients/visitors to appropriate areas within the Medical Center.
  • Answer telephones and respond to inquiries using ADT and Census Reports.
  • Issue and track patient visitor passes according to policy.
  • Contact Nursing Units for approval of visits outside of regular visiting hours.
  • Maintain an organized Visitor Pass Filing System and monitor supplies.
  • Pick up census sheets from the admitting office and update records as required.
  • Report all lobby-related injury incidents promptly to the Nursing Supervisor and complete Incident Reports.
  • Notify Environmental Services regarding lobby cleanliness or safety issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma required (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu).
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent medical office experience .
  • Ability to use the ADT system and read Census Reports.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse community in a fast-paced environment.
