This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 915 Anderson Dr, Aberdeen, WA 98520. We offer 2 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your scheduled. Primary Responsibilities: Performing insurance eligibility checks and obtaining pre-authorizations with Carriers, and researching and resolving issues in order to receive maximum profitability for clients Reviews claims to make sure that payer specific billing requirements are met, follows-up on billing, determines and applies appropriate adjustments, answers inquiries, and updates accounts as necessary Intermittent interaction with patients to resolve account issues You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience Must be 18 years of age OR Older 1+ years of experience with patient registration, insurance verification, and/or prior authorizations within healthcare Ability using computer and Windows PC applications, which includes strong keyboard and navigation skills and ability to learn new computer programs Ability to work full time onsite at 915 Anderson Dr, Aberdeen, WA 98520 Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare and/or insurance billing or processing experience Experience working with insurance websites Customer service experience Ability to perform functions in Microsoft Excel (edit, filter, sort) The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
