About The Property Accountant Role:

Our client, a family office invested in the commercial real estate sector, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Property Accountant to join their team in Fort Collins, CO

Property Accountant Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle property accounting for a portfolio of 20+ commercial properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting

- Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment collections, and bank reconciliations

- Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

- Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

- Conduct lease administration, including calculating CAM (Common Area Maintenance) charges, insurance, and property taxes

- Ensure compliance with all financial policies, procedures, and regulations

- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes

- Assist with year-end closings, audits, and tax preparations as required.

Property Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial property accounting

- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting

- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite is a PLUS
- Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal

- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
