Join to apply for the Revenue Accounting Consultant role at RGP . As a Revenue Accounting Consultant, you will support the revenue team at a global technology client. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate recordings and recognition of revenue in accordance with ASC 606, leading month-end close activities, assisting in automation, process improvements, system enhancements, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in ASC 606, possess strong analytical skills, have experience in recurring revenue models, be able to navigate ambiguity, and have excellent communication skills to facilitate effective information flow between cross-functional business partners and the Finance organization. What you will work on Review and interpret customer contracts, assess and summarize revenue implications, and document conclusions on revenue recognition treatment in accordance with current US GAAP and ASC 606. Lead month-end close and quarterly revenue processes, including maintaining the general ledger and sub-ledgers, preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing balance sheet account reconciliations, and analyzing account variances. Determine monthly revenue forecasts, perform revenue analysis and calculations, and generate reports for management. Review revenue recognition schedules for accuracy, integrity, and compliance with standards, ensuring company policies are followed. Maintain and analyze deferred revenue and unbilled accounts. Partner cross-functionally with Sales Ops, Legal, Deal Desk, and FP&A to review deals and ensure compliant revenue treatment. Support the design and implementation of scalable revenue systems and processes, including automation and reporting enhancements. Work closely with external auditors to provide support for revenue-related audit requests and documentation. Contribute to key projects like new system implementations, revenue forecasting, and internal controls (e.g., SOX compliance). What you will bring 10+ years of revenue accounting and recognition experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience in the global technology or SaaS industry. Strong understanding of GAAP and ASC 606. Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and revenue recognition tools (e.g., NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce CPQ, RevPro). SQL experience is an advantage. Familiarity with G Suite, MS Office, and other collaboration tools. Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
