At CONMED, we don’t just fill roles—we build the future of surgical innovation by hiring world-class talent. As our next Principal Recruiter, you will own full-cycle recruiting for our Operations Business.
This is more than sourcing—it’s about driving quality , partnering with Business Leaders, Site leaders , and delivering on business-critical hiring goals . If you thrive in high-accountability environments, enjoy the complexity of manufacturing orgs, and love getting the details right the first time—you’ll feel right at home.
What You’ll Do
• Own the hiring lifecycle for complex manufacturing roles: site leaders, engineers, factory leaders, supply chain positions, and other hard-to-fill technical roles.
• Partner directly with site and functional leaders to understand business needs, calibrate on ideal candidates, and influence hiring decisions. Connect with manufacturing organizations and be a true business partner to the team.
• Source and engage passive candidates via LinkedIn, Boolean search, talent pipelines, and creative outreach strategies—especially in competitive or rural markets.
• Elevate candidate experience through clear, timely communication and thoughtful process management.
• Track progress meticulously in our CRM (Phenom) and applicant tracking system (Workday), ensuring compliant, up-to-date data at all stages.
• Drive process improvements across recruiting operations: metrics reporting, candidate experience, hiring manager training, and internal mobility.
What You Bring
• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in Manufacturing In a Regulated Environment —deep exposure to manufacturing, operations, engineering, and technical hiring
• Strong business acumen and the ability to balance speed, precision, and quality
• Detail orientation and follow-through that builds trust with candidates and hiring teams
• Confidence and ownership —you influence hiring decisions and guide the process, not just facilitate it
• Comfort with ambiguity and change—you stay composed, curious, and ready to adjust
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, Phenom, and Workday ATS is a big plus
• Bachelor’s degree required
Who You Are
• Operationally sharp— you manage pipelines like a project manager
• Solution-oriented and calm under pressure
• Respectful and direct communicator with a bias toward action
• Passionate about building diverse, high-performing teams
• Known for your reliability, integrity, and follow-through
What You’ll Gain
• The chance to shape the talent foundation of a growing global medical device company
• Visibility and partnership with senior leaders across Manufacturing, Quality Supply Chain, and Engineering
• A collaborative, high-performing team environment where quality and outcomes are prioritized
