Job Summary

The Student Project Manager supports the Project Manager and department in planning, executing, and finalizing projects not limited to information technology. It involves working closely with different teams and stakeholders to monitor project progress and provide oversight according to deadlines and within budget. This role is responsible for aiding in coordinating, communicating, and administrating project tasks and resources. They ensure that project objectives are met while maintaining high standards and excellent customer service

Primary Responsibilities

* Conduct research to provide relevant information and support for project teams and departments as needed.

* Perform administrative tasks, including preparing agendas, scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and following up on action items.

* Track and organize information to assist the Project Manager in preparing status reports.

* Assist in collecting user experience feedback on systems and processes. Maintain accurate project documentation for all project phases.

* Assist in monitoring project schedules and assist in identifying and addressing delays or risks.

* Participate in testing and implementation phases to ensure the project meets business needs and objectives.

* Identify and resolve any issues impacting project progress by collaborating with stakeholders and escalating when necessary.

* Complete assigned tasks and other duties from the Project Manager efficiently and in a timely manner.

Required Skills

* Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

* Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.

* Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Standard Word Processing software; All standard browsers and Internet software;

Education

Lower Division Courses Completed

Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Experience
