Title: Survey Technician

Division: Surveying

General Responsibilities:

• Prepares metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects, exhibits and various mapping products
• Gathers data used for creation of topographical maps
• Compile information necessary to stake projects for construction using engineering plans
• Compare survey computations with applicable standards in order to determine adequacy of data
• Collect information needed to carry out new surveys, using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records and other relevant information
• Prepare topographic and contour maps of land surveyed, including site features and other relevant information such as charts, drawings, and survey notes

Preferred Education/Licenses:

• Surveyor-in-Training certification by Texas Board of Land Surveying, or
• Level II Certified Survey Technician certification

Required Experience:

• You are knowledgeable in preparation of property descriptions, boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, design surveys, construction staking, platting, title commitments and various other survey related tasks.
• You have field experience with the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• You will be flexible and willing to work on a variety of projects.
• You have a valid Florida driver's license and an excellent driving record.
