Job Description

We are hiring a Tax Senior ManagerInternational Tax Transfer Pricing to join our Global Tax team at Xsolla. In this role, you will have a unique and exciting opportunity to help the Chief Tax Officer to design and build the international tax function from the ground up. (We will consider a Director-level candidate for this role.)

The chosen candidate is a trustworthy, proactive, and self-driven professional and will develop an international tax and transfer pricing process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Chief Tax Officer to design and implement international tax strategy to ensure compliance and optimize international tax position
  • Manage the international aspect of tax provision, transfer pricing, and compliance (with advance knowledge of subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, foreign tax credits, cash repatriation, withholding tax, and tax treaties analysis)
  • Manage international income tax compliance process of foreign subsidiaries
  • Assist and support international planning including geographic expansion and new products development
  • Provide U.S. and foreign tax analysis for international tax provision
  • Monitor U.S. international tax law changes and major foreign tax law changes to determine the effect on business activities and recommend appropriate responses to those changes
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
  • 6+ years' international tax planning experience with a prominent law firm or Big 4 accounting firm is a hard requirement
  • 10+ years' related experience in both public accounting and industry
  • CPA and/or JD
  • Must possess strong technical and practical knowledge of U.S. and global international tax rules such as income sourcing rules, U.S. trade or business and effectively connected income, foreign tax credits, income tax treaty issues such as permanent establishment, income characterization, subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, withholding tax, tax-free organizations, IP planning and cost sharing arrangements, OECD BEPS actions, CbC reporting, key local foreign jurisdiction OECD BEPS inspired legislation, U.S. and global transfer pricing documentation requirements, international aspects of U.S. tax reform, and other international tax topics
  • Ability to apply technical tax rules in a practical business environment
  • Proactive self-starter who is comfortable identifying tax issues, forming and proposing practical solutions, and following through to ensure proper reporting, implementation, and documentation
  • Highly organized, detail oriented with ability to quickly grasp solid understanding of the big picture of the organization, team, project

  • A plus if:
  • 2+ years' experience in international tax planning for U.S. multinational corporations is strongly preferred
  • Tax LLM is strongly preferred
  • Experience in fintech, e-commerce or the video game industry a plus
  • Experience working at an organization with an entrepreneurial mindset is a plus

$180,000 - $225,000 a year
