\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4
\n• Must have 2 full years of nursing experience to be considered
\n• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
\n• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer through UNA (maximum 2 attempts)
\n• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation with emphasis on sterile field techniques
\n• Must be able to interpret EKGs with centralized telemetry system
\n• 2-day floor-specific orientation required
\n• Navy scrubs required
\n• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
\n• First to float policy applies, may float to sister facility
\n• Care for patients including post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, and general telemetry
\n• Administer medications including Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine to titrate down only
\n• No pediatric patients - 15 years and older only
\n• Work on CV Tele units D2 & C4 with 32 total beds
\n• Support from PCTs (1 per every 16 patients), charge nurse with no patient assignment, and clinical supervisor
\n• Use Cerner charting system
\n• BSN not required but nursing license verification required

\nThis acute care medical center operates as a Level 1 trauma facility providing comprehensive cardiovascular and telemetry services. The facility features centralized telemetry monitoring, 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, and maintains hospitalist coverage with day rounds and on-call availability at night. The organization supports nursing staff with clinical supervisors and charge nurses while maintaining high standards for patient care through rigorous competency testing and orientation programs.
