Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at a Level 1 trauma center with rotating call and specific AHA certifications required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) within a Level 1 trauma center
• Shift schedule is 14:30-23:00
• Rotating night and weekend call required
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Responsibilities include providing care for post-anesthesia and surgical patients in a high-acuity setting
• Team-based environment with support from experienced clinicians
• COVID vaccination is no longer required for this assignment
• All candidates are subject to a radius rule, with local candidates eligible at a reduced pay rate depending on location
• First-time travelers are considered
• Two professional references are required for consideration

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active Kansas or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience required
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale and MOAB Moderate Risk De-Escalation Training certifications required
• Nursys license verification and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
