The Hitchcock, Texas site is expanding its team and is currently seeking Welders for the 2nd Shift (5pm-3:30am) from Monday to Thursday. This is an exciting opportunity to join nVent during a period of growth and innovation.
What you will experience in this position:
- \n Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding operations using flux core and arc welding.
\n - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
\n - Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards.
\n - Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools.
\n - Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
\n - Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
\n - Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
\n Qualifications: - Structural steel flux core with the standards of AWS D1.1 and CWB qualifications
\n - Certified welder in both GMAW and FCAW
\n - Cutting accurately with torches and plasma cuter
\n - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
\n - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
\n - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
\n - Good communication and teamwork skills.
\n Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
\n - Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.
\n - Willingness to work in different environments, including outdoor and confined spaces.
