Job Description

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Yard Operations Associates to oversee the efficient management of our trucking yard operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various tasks related to trailer check-ins, check-outs, and overall yard organization. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining a seamless flow of operations within the yard.

• Trailer Check-In and Check-Out: Accurately record and document incoming and outgoing trailers, ensuring proper inspection for damages, maintenance needs, and compliance with safety regulations
• Yard Flow Management: Coordinate with drivers, logistics teams, and other associates to optimize the movement of trailers within the yard, minimizing congestion and maximizing space utilization
• Yard Safety and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized yard environment, ensuring trailers are parked in designated areas and following safety guidelines. Regularly inspect yard conditions and address any potential hazards
• Communication: Collaborate with drivers, dispatchers, and other teams to provide timely updates on yard status, trailer availability, and potential delays
• Equipment Maintenance: Monitor the condition of yard equipment such as forklifts, jacks, and safety gear, reporting any issues for prompt maintenance or repair
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of yard activities, trailer movements, maintenance schedules, and incident reports

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
• Basic knowledge of trucking industry practices and safety regulations
• Familiarity with yard management software or systems is a plus
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, bending, and lifting
• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
