Reporting to the Senior Director of Patient Services, the Associate Director Patient Services Operations will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across all patient services programs. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution and continuous improvement of Patient Services initiatives, managing key vendor partnerships, leading cross-functional training coordination, and serving as the point of contact for field team escalations. The role also carries responsibility for Patient Services governance, strategy development, and performance tracking through KPIs. This role can be based in our Waltham, MA headquarters or fully remote. Waltham-based employees are required to be onsite 3 days a week. Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Member of the Viridian Patient Services Leadership Team Oversee the planning, execution, and ongoing optimization of all patient services programs Lead day-to-day operations and performance management of external service providers (e.g.HUBs, copay vendors) Ensure program alignment with compliance, regulatory, and legal standards Embed patient centricity into all patient services initiatives, ensuring programs and solutions are designed to support a seamless, compassionate, and ,personalized patient experience Design and implement onboarding and ongoing training programs to ensure alignment, consistency, and effectiveness across internal and field teams in collaboration with Viridian's Commercial Training team Support the development and enforcement of the Patient Services governance processes, including decision-making frameworks, documentation, and operational reviews Partner with Viridian Compliance and Legal to ensure all Patient Services activities adhere to corporate and regulatory standards Contribute to the strategic planning and evolution of the Patient Services function Identify and prioritize opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and enhanced patient experience Lead or participate in cross-functional planning initiatives related to new product launches or access initiatives Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess program performance and patient outcomes Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for continuous improvement Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing oversight of any financial support and Free Goods programs. Partner with internal stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Trade, and Finance) to ensure compliant execution Act as the primary point of contact for field team escalations related to patient services Provide timely resolution support, cross-functional coordination, and feedback loop integration to improve field experience Manage assigned patient services budget to ensure efficient resource use, financial compliance, and alignment with strategic priorities Requirements Requires a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals/biotech, healthcare operations, patient support services, or access/reimbursement Experience managing patient support programs and/or HUB vendors Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills Deep knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the patient services space Proven ability to develop and execute operational strategies Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Proficient in performance monitoring tools, dashboards, and KPI reporting Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills Proven mindset of proactive continuous improvement Efficient independent worker with ability to focus and drive for results Strong attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple tasks Strong commitment to ethical standards Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.) Ability to travel up to 25% The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience Viridian offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
