Job description:
• Able to build a panel from scratch without the help of others
• Able to follow all the steps “How to build an Industrial Control Panel” document without the need to reference the document.
• Understanding the location of stock parts on the floor and ordered parts on the shelf.
• Able to redline schematics.
Run Conduit on a System
• Able to run conduit/flex and pull wires on a system following the steps of the “How to Run Conduit” document without the need to reference the document.
• Understand how to use the stud welder.
• Install J-boxes and Button boxes on equipment.
• Understand how to strap a motor for 240v or 480v.
Initial Setup of the System
• Able to set up IP Addresses o VFDs, HMI, Stratix Switch, Banner Safety Monitor, PLC, Remote IO, Beckhoff PC
• Able to download a program to the PLC and HMI.
• Able to get online with PLC and navigate the program.
• Able to jog motors from HMI or program if no HMI is present. o Check rotation and change rotation of a motor.
• Able to test devices and understand if they are functioning properly. io Gatestops and Start/Stop buttons.
Schematics
• Able to start a schematic in AutoCAD Electrical from a template.
• Able to create a BOM or Requisition for all parts needed on a machine.
• Able to modify and correct schematics.
• Able to import blocks into panel layouts.
• Able to create panel layouts without UL violations.
