Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Furniture Installer and bring spaces to life through expert assembly and installation! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for delivering, assembling, and securely installing a wide variety of furniture pieces in commercial and occasionally residential environments. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and proactive approach will ensure each project is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with diverse furniture manufacturers and contribute to bringing functional spaces to life.

Duties

  • Safely transport furniture items from delivery trucks to designated installation sites, ensuring all pieces are handled with care.
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, or technical diagrams to accurately assemble furniture components.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble furniture according to specifications.
  • Install furniture securely on floors, walls, or ceilings, ensuring stability and safety for end-users.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and interior designers to meet specific placement requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after installations, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Utilize technical equipment when necessary for troubleshooting electrical components in specialized furniture pieces.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Completion of high school shop and/or woodworking related classes a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook) and use of tablet technology
  • Beneficial to have or be able to obtain a CDL.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship
  • Approval to work on state, local, and federal government sites a plus

Experience

  • Proven experience in furniture assembly or installation preferred; a background in carpentry or maintenance person services is a plus.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and assembly instructions clearly and accurately.
  • Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
  • Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy furniture items safely and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure precise installations.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
  • Prior experience working in fast-paced environments that require multitasking and adaptability.
